Loquelle vs Final Round AI vs LockedIn AI vs Interview Coder
Four AI copilots that listen to a live conversation and put answers on your screen. They are not the same product. This page explains what actually differs: how they capture audio, which meetings they suit and what they cost, including the cases where a competitor is the better choice.
The short version
Loquelle is a live copilot for any meeting, from client calls, sales and standups to technical discussions and interviews, on the web, as a Chrome extension and as a Windows desktop app, with a meeting recap and follow-up email written for you afterwards. Final Round AI and LockedIn AI are interview-specialised suites with resume and mock-interview tooling around the live copilot. Interview Coder is narrower still: it targets coding-challenge screens rather than conversation.
- One copilot for every kind of call: interviews on either side, sales, client work, standups and lectures, not only job interviews
- Web app, Chrome extension and Windows desktop app on one account, with the Windows app invisible on screen share
- The work after the call is done for you: key points, decisions, action items and a follow-up email, the moment you press Stop

Loquelle vs Microsoft Copilot in Teams, AgentWave Meeting Copilot and LAYR
The interview tools above are one neighbour. The other is the general meeting copilot: Microsoft Copilot in Teams, the AgentWave Meeting Copilot Chrome extension and LAYR, a macOS overlay. These are closer to what Loquelle does for client calls and standups, and the differences are about timing and reach: whether help arrives unprompted while the other person is still talking, whether it works outside one meeting platform, and whether it needs the meeting to be transcribed for everyone.

Loquelle vs Otter.ai, Fireflies.ai, Zoom AI Companion, Gemini in Google Meet and Cluely
Ask an AI answer engine for the best AI meeting assistant and these are the names it gives back, so they are the ones a buyer will weigh Loquelle against. Four of them are note-takers: a bot or the platform itself records the meeting and the help arrives afterwards, or when you type a question. Loquelle and Cluely are the two that put the answer up while the question is still being asked. The honest difference inside that pair is price and what you must pay for to be hidden.

Where Loquelle comes out ahead
One copilot for every call, not just interviews
The interview-only tools stop being useful the day you stop job hunting. Loquelle works on client calls, discovery and sales conversations, standups, technical reviews and consultations as well as interviews, and it gives real domain answers in finance, consulting and civil, electrical or mechanical engineering, not just code. One tool you keep using, instead of one you cancel.
Web, Chrome extension and Windows desktop, on one account
Use it in the browser, in a side panel next to your meeting, or as a desktop app for the installed Zoom and Teams apps where it stays hidden on screen share. Every meeting lands in the same history whichever one you used, so nothing is scattered across devices. No bot ever joins your call.
The work after the call is done for you
Loquelle does not stop when the call ends. You get a recap with key points, decisions and action items, plus a follow-up email drafted and sent to your inbox. In Technical mode the code arrives commented section by section, each reason tagged so you can explain a choice aloud, not just paste it. Two more modes set Loquelle apart from interview-only copilots: Screen mode answers whatever is on your screen with one hotkey, a written question, a multiple-choice test answered item by item, a coding task with complete code, or an error message with the likely fix, and it works mid-meeting. Presentation mode is for when you are the one presenting: attach your slide deck and Loquelle follows which slide you are on, hands you a spoken script for each slide, answers audience questions from the deck, keeps you to time, and ends with a recap and follow-up email.
Free to start, $15/month to grow
Loquelle has a genuinely free plan, 45 minutes a month, no card, and new accounts get a larger daily allowance for their first days so a real meeting runs start to finish. Paid plans start at $15 per month for 400 minutes. Interview-focused copilots generally start higher and do one job; Loquelle is built for every meeting you have, which is why it still earns its place after the job hunt ends.
The questions people actually ask
Not with Loquelle. It listens to audio on your own device and shows suggestions in a private window, so nothing appears in the participant list and nobody is notified. Some meeting-assistant products in the wider market do use a visible bot, which is worth checking before a client call.
Loquelle's desktop app uses screen-capture protection, so the overlay is not part of a shared screen. Be realistic about the limits: no software controls what a camera in the room sees, and long unexplained pauses are noticeable to a human. Treat any absolute “undetectable” claim, from any vendor, with healthy scepticism.
Loquelle answers a question in roughly seven to twelve seconds, and skips its normal cadence when the fresh speech looks like a direct question so the answer lands while the question is still in the air. Every tool in this category is bounded by the same physics: capture audio, transcribe, generate.
Honestly, try the free tiers first. All four have one. Loquelle's free plan gives you 45 minutes a month with no card, and new accounts get a larger daily allowance for their first days so a real meeting runs start to finish. If a single interview is your whole use case, an interview-specialised tool may serve you better.
This is where a general copilot earns its place. Loquelle is used for system and architecture design discussions and for non-software fields such as civil, electrical and mechanical engineering, finance and consulting, giving real domain answers rather than code. It also suggests clarifying questions for you to ask, which is often what separates a strong candidate from a quiet one.
They are note-takers; Loquelle is a copilot. Otter and Fireflies send a bot into the meeting, record it, and give you a transcript, a summary and a chat you can ask afterwards. Loquelle sends no bot, records nothing, and its job is the moment itself: the answer to the question you were just asked, the code the interviewer wants, the next line of your presentation. It writes the recap and follow-up email too, so you do not need a note-taker beside it. If all you want is a searchable archive of every meeting, a note-taker is the right tool and cheaper per seat.
Copilot in Teams is a good recap tool, and if your whole company lives in Microsoft 365 it is already there. The difference is timing and reach. Copilot answers when you type a prompt and needs transcription switched on for everyone in the meeting; Loquelle listens on your own device and puts the answer up unprompted while the question is still being asked, with nothing switched on for other participants. Loquelle also works in any meeting platform, in the browser or the Windows app, and starts free rather than as a per-seat add-on.
