What’s new in Loquelle

We ship improvements to Loquelle often. Here’s what changed recently. The app always shows its version in the corner so you know what you’re running.

Desktop app Windows

v0.3.13

A CV is not a deck

Latest

A multi-page CV or document attached with “prepare me” was mistaken for a slide deck, which switched the app into Presentation mode and produced a talk with invented details. A document is now a deck only when it is a .pptx or its pages are sparse like slides; everything else stays a document and Prep me builds the prep pack from it. Prep packs and scripts are now checked line by line against your document: an email, link or figure that is not in it is removed, a name that is not in it drops the line. The Windows app now shows your Screen, Technical and Presentation allowances for the month beside the minutes, and every screen answer ends with the count; screen answers never use Loquelle minutes. Long calls are recapped in full: the whole transcript is kept and condensed in parts, so an hour-long meeting no longer loses the decisions from its first fifty minutes. Audio that fails to upload during a connection blip waits and is retried in order instead of being lost.

v0.3.12

Learn mode, and follow-ups that follow you

Tick Learn mode when you are in a lesson, a course video or a training call. Loquelle takes study notes as it plays (a definition when the teacher defines something, why a point matters, a worked example, anything flagged as examinable) and never suggests words to say. Press Stop for structured study notes with six to ten flashcards and a five-question quiz, built only from what was said, then emailed to you. Name the course and each lesson is threaded under the previous one. When you continue a meeting, Loquelle now knows what is still open from that thread and reminds you before the call closes; the full list, with tick boxes and due dates, lives in your members area under Follow-ups.

v0.3.10

Invisibility, and Presentation mode

The overlay is now a tool window: absent from Alt-Tab and Task View, named “Notes” in the window title and the process list, with a tray icon you can switch off. Presentation mode (v0.3.9): attach your deck, set the time slot, and Loquelle follows your slides, scripts each one, answers the audience and warns you on time.

v0.3.7

Screen mode: point Loquelle at anything on your screen

Press Ctrl+Shift+A, or the new “Answer what’s on my screen” button, and Loquelle reads whatever is visible and answers it: a written question, a whole set of multiple-choice questions (each gets its own answer card), code, an error dialog, a dashboard. Works mid-meeting, answers join your normal card stream, and on its own outside meetings. The answer appears only in your private overlay, invisible on screen share as always; the capture itself is processed in memory and never stored. Every answer saves to your History. Technical mode applies: code questions come back as complete, runnable solutions. Also in this release: a privacy hardening pass (one legacy dialog could appear outside the protected overlay; it no longer exists) and cleaner answers from thinking-style AI models.

v0.3.6

Now called Loquelle, everywhere including the installer

A major update focused on making Loquelle faster, smarter, and more reliable. Faster AI responses with improved question detection, so answers land while the question still hangs in the air. A new Ask box for real-time custom AI guidance mid-call, on every platform. Enhanced Prep me for better interview preparation. An automatic recap after every session, with the recap email sent to your inbox when the meeting ends. Plus improved performance and stability, fewer duplicate responses, and general bug fixes and UI improvements.

v0.2.7

Prep me, smarter live answers, and better recaps

New: Prep me, get ready before the call. Write your brief, click Prep me, and Loquelle builds your prep pack: the questions you are most likely to face with ready-to-say answers, the key points to land, smart questions to ask the other side, and traps to avoid. Saved to your history automatically. Smarter live answers: Loquelle now recognizes what kind of question you are facing mid-call and answers accordingly, objection handling and value reframes on sales calls, structured STAR answers for behavioral interview questions, and confident salary-range handling. Better meeting recaps: when you stop a meeting, your recap now ends with a ready-to-send follow-up email, subject line and all, recapping outcomes and next steps in your voice. Faster Technical mode: code and architecture answers arrive noticeably quicker during live interviews.

v0.2.6

Attach a document, and a smarter Technical mode

You can now attach a document before a call, a CV, a deck, meeting notes or any file, and Loquelle reads it so its answers use what is in it. Technical mode now covers more than code: ask for a system architecture, a database design or a diagram and Loquelle lays it out for you. Loquelle also pauses itself after a long silence so it never keeps running once a meeting has ended.

v0.2.5

Clear signals when your time runs out

If you sign out or use up your daily Loquelle minutes mid-meeting, the app now stops and tells you plainly what happened and what to do, instead of listening on in silence. New users also get a short first-run tip showing where Loquelle lives and how to hide it.

v0.2.4

Your meeting, summarized the moment it ends

When a call ends, Loquelle for Desktop now shows your key points, suggestions and full transcript right away. It is the same summary you get from history, so you can copy what matters before you move on.

v0.2.3

Steadier, quieter suggestions

Loquelle now stays quiet instead of restating a point it already made, shows one clean answer at a time rather than stacking them mid-call, and paces itself so it keeps up without overwhelming you. Also includes a reliability fix for the occasional “listening but not responding” pause.

v0.2.2

Cleaner meeting history

Follow-up meetings now show the correct local date and your most recent meeting rises to the top, so your history is easy to scan at a glance.

v0.2.1

One history everywhere, one-click updates

Your meetings now stay in sync across the web workspace, the desktop app and the browser extension, duplicate entries are gone, and updates install themselves in a couple of clicks. The app also shows its version in the corner.

v0.2.0

Loquelle for Desktop arrives

The Windows desktop app launches: it captures your call’s audio locally, stays invisible on screen share, and falls back automatically between AI providers so your live suggestions never stall in the middle of a meeting.

Browser extension Chrome & Edge

The extension and the desktop app are numbered separately, extension v0.3.8 is not a later release than desktop v0.3.7, they are different products.

v0.3.14

A CV is not a deck

Latest

A multi-page CV or document is no longer mistaken for a slide deck, so it stays in Meeting mode and Prep me builds the prep pack. Prep packs are checked line by line against your document, so nothing invented reaches you.

v0.3.13

Learn mode, listening mode, follow-ups

“I’m in a lesson” turns the panel into a study note-taker for a lecture or course video in the tab, with structured notes, flashcards and a quiz at Stop; name the course and your lessons are threaded together. “I’m only listening” (v0.3.12) takes notes on a webinar or broadcast instead of drafting lines for you. Continuing a meeting now carries its open follow-ups into the call. Also: a check before Start that tells you when your call is in the desktop Teams or Zoom app rather than a tab, and a sign-in gate that no longer mistakes a slow network for a sign-out.

v0.3.8

Answer this tab

A new button in the side panel (and a mid-call chip) captures the visible call tab once, on your click only, and answers whatever is on it, written questions, MCQs one by one, code, errors. Technical mode applies. One run per answer, refunded if anything fails, and the capture is never stored. If Chrome withholds capture permission the panel tells you the exact fix instead of failing silently.

v0.3.7

Cue is now Loquelle

Same extension, same account, same history, only the name changed. No new permissions and no change to how it works. We renamed because “Cue” is a common word several unrelated products already use, which made us hard to find and easy to confuse with someone else. Loquelle (say lo-KWEL) comes from the French loquèle: ease and fluency in speech.

v0.3.6

Faster responses

Answers arrive sooner during a live call.

v0.3.5

Nothing is dropped silently

When transcription is rate-limited the extension now slows down and tells you, instead of discarding words with no warning. The polling cadence is capped, so a slow setting can no longer delay answers. You get a clear message when the service is unavailable, rather than a “listening” indicator that never produces anything. Limit messages now say which allowance ran out instead of always claiming it resets tomorrow.

v0.3.4

Every answer shows, newest first

Fixed answers being hidden during live calls. New one-tap quick asks: Say now, Answer that, What to ask, with tagged replies. Faster responses, and a clean panel on every start.

v0.3.3

Ask Assistant and Prep Me

Ask Assistant gives real-time guidance during interviews, and Prep Me builds your preparation beforehand. Sessions now end with an automatic recap, and recap emails send on their own. Better question detection and steadier sessions throughout.

v0.2.9

Prep me, from your own documents

Next to Pop out: uses your brief and an attached document: CV, deck or notes, to build a prep pack in the panel, saved to your history.

v0.2.8

Attach a document, wider Technical mode

Attach a document before a call and it uses it in its answers. Technical mode now covers architecture and diagrams, not only code. It auto-pauses after a long silence, so it never keeps running once a meeting has ended.

v0.2.7

It tells you when it stops

Says clearly when you are signed out or out of minutes, instead of going quiet. New users get a short first-run tip.

v0.2.6

Your meeting, summarised instantly

Key points, suggestions and the full transcript the moment a call ends.

v0.2.5

Steadier, quieter suggestions

No repeats, one clean answer at a time, centrally tuned pacing, and a fix for the occasional “listening but not responding” pause.

v0.2.0

One history across every surface

Meeting history unified across web, desktop and the extension. Duplicate entries fixed. One-click updates that install themselves. The app shows its version. More reliable live suggestions, with automatic provider fallback so meetings never stall.

Questions about Loquelle updates

How do I get the latest version?

It depends on where you use Loquelle:

  • The Chrome extension updates itself through the Chrome Web Store, usually within a day of a release
  • The Windows app carries the version in its installer name, for example Loquelle-Setup-0.3.13.exe, and the download link on the Loquelle page always points at the current one
  • The web app at nextiqumai.com is always the current version, nothing to install

Which version am I on?

In Chrome, open chrome://extensions and read the version under Loquelle. On Windows, the version is the number in the installer you ran. Every entry on this page names the version it shipped in, so you can compare.

Do updates cost anything?

No. Every update is included on every plan, including Free. Your account, history and minutes carry over unchanged; you never lose a recap because a new version arrived.

What is coming next?

We publish here when something ships, not before, because a changelog full of promises is worth nothing. If a feature you need is missing, email [email protected] and say what call it would help with; that is how most of the entries above started.
